About x721 and x721 France.
Founded in Dubai by Pierre-Eric Lys, x721 is an international company specializing in the design and development of a range of ultralight flying vehicles known as "Heliblade." x721 possesses recognized expertise in ultralight aircraft design and high-altitude testing. The name X721 refers to a record set in March 2025 on a simulator by an Heliblade prototype, which successfully simulated a flight reaching an altitude of 72,100 feet.
Bringing the stratosphere to the Bordeaux UAV Show.
From October 7 to 9, 2026, x721 will be present at the Bordeaux UAV Show with an ambition that extends far beyond the typical scope of drones: bringing Very High Altitude (VHA) and the stratosphere into the conversation.
We believe x721 will open up new frontiers for all UAV Show participants. We look forward to meeting future users of very high altitude and stratospheric services and discussing the new opportunities these environments offer. It is an ambitious trajectory that positions x721 at the intersection of the aeronautics, drone, and stratospheric/VLEO platform sectors.
Classified as an experimental drone, the Heliblade demonstrator falls into the HALE (High Altitude Long Endurance) and HAPS (High Altitude Pseudo-Satellite) categories.
By the numbers: "The global drone market currently stands at ~$45 billion → >$50 billion for the expanded market including HAPS convergence, with a trajectory toward ~$100 billion by 2030+."
