ONERA

A key player in aerospace research, ONERA employs approximately 2,000 people. Operating under the supervision of the Ministry of the Armed Forces, it has a budget of 230 million euros, more than half of which comes from commercial contracts. As a government-funded research organization, ONERA prepares for the defense of tomorrow, addresses the aerospace challenges of the future, and contributes to the competitiveness of the aerospace industry. It possesses expertise in all disciplines and technologies within the field. All major civil and military aerospace programs in France and Europe bear some of ONERA’s DNA: Ariane, Airbus, Falcon, Rafale, missiles, helicopters, engines, radars… Internationally recognized and frequently awarded, its researchers mentor numerous doctoral students.
