EMITECH-GNSS, formerly GUIDE-GNSS, is a laboratory specializing in metrology and performance assessment of Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) systems.
Accredited by COFRAC under No. 1-6924 in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, the laboratory supports the drone industry from design through certification: performance requirements definition, selection and evaluation of GNSS components, RF/EMC integration optimization, drone instrumentation, trajectory measurement, navigation performance analysis, and preparation of tests related to the EN 4709 series.
EMITECH-GNSS also works alongside flight test centers to prepare test campaigns, establish reference trajectories, and deliver results through test reports including graphical analyses of the operations performed.
Depending on the application, its capabilities may include field testing, GNSS simulation and Record & Replay of real-world signals, as well as robustness assessment against interference, jamming, spoofing and meaconing.
Within the framework of EN 4709, EMITECH-GNSS supports manufacturers in assessing drone navigation functions and in preparing the technical evidence required for the certification process.
Our expertise in GNSS metrology enables navigation performance to be characterized under representative operating conditions, in particular through:
- definition of test scenarios and preparation of flight-test campaigns;
- definition of reference systems and drone instrumentation;
- measurement and analysis of position, velocity and trajectory;
- assessment of drone behaviour near limits and UAS geographical zones, particularly for geo-awareness functions;
- provision of test results under COFRAC accreditation, for services covered by our accredited scope.
The objective is to provide measurable, traceable and exploitable results to characterize navigation performance, contribute to conformity demonstration, and support the associated technical documentation.
Beyond nominal performance, EMITECH-GNSS is also developing test methods to assess the robustness of navigation systems in degraded or contested GNSS environments.
These assessments may include EMC/RF disturbances, jamming, spoofing and meaconing, in order to characterize system behaviour when the availability or integrity of GNSS signals is affected.
