The CTDO: A Testing Platform for Drones and the Future of Aviation

The West Drone Tech Center is a flight test center dedicated to drones and new forms of air mobility, offering a secure environment for experimentation, certification, and demonstration.

The CTDO is based at Lannion Airport—a leading airport in the field of drones in Brittany. It offers a structured and flexible airspace, including a 13-hectare segregated zone, a 98-hectare airport area, and a 10-km air corridor leading to a 100-km² temporary restricted area (ZRT) over the sea (SUP-AIP 2025 No. 172).

As a member of the network of Flight Test Centers certified by ONERA at the national level, the CTDO is recognized as a trusted third party by the DGAC and the DSAC.
